Time is running out to nominate your up-and-coming star in Savannah’s business or professional community for the 2013 Generation Next awards.
Initially, Friday the 14th, was going to be the deadline, but we know people have a lot on their minds this time of year. So we’ve extended it until Tuesday, Dec. 18, but we have to call a halt then to give us time to put it all together.
The criteria are simple. Nominees should be under 40 and have a track record of community involvement and professional/business success.
Winners in 2011 and 2012 included high-tech startup entrepreneurs, bankers, logistics company operators, lawyers, nonprofit executives, educators and others. When the deadline for nominations ended, the number of strong up-and-comers was impressive, and it was a challenge to narrow the list to the 20 finalists.
So we know the community is filled with people ready to become the next generation of movers and shakers. Once the nominations are in, 20 finalists will be announced March 6 in BiS.
