‘Twinkle of Hope’ offers pampering for homeless
Beauty Essentials Day Spac, 407 E. Montgomery Crossroads, Suite C, will offer its ninth annual “Twinkle of Hope - Caroling Through Hands of Pampering” program Monday, Dec. 9.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., women various homeless shelters will receive ‘the royal treatment.” The spa will offer free massages, pedicures and facials, treats and gifts.

The spa also is accepting donations of robes, slippers and ladies toiletries for their guests on Dec. 9.
Pace Lighting makes management changes
Two staff members at Pace Lighting have been promoted into what the company describes as key management positions.
Lisa Dixon, the showroom manager at Pace Lighting’s facility on Chatham Parkway since late 2010, has been named general manager and will oversee day-to-day operations in the showroom and warehouse. Dixon, a minority owner, joined Pace Lighting in 2009.
Lindsay Williams, who has been a senior lighting consultant since 2011, will become the showroom manager and will oversee the retail customer experience and product selection and display.
Savannah Chamber to host annual meeting
The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 207th annual meeting at noon on Friday, Dec. 13, at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa.
The Chamber will also recognize 2013 board chair Jenny Gentry, city president of Wells Fargo, as she passes the gavel to incoming board chair Toby Moreau, city executive of BB&T.
Other outgoing board members, committee chairs and 2013 volunteers will be recognized and thanked for their work with the Chamber.
The Oglethorpe Award for exceptional community leadership will be presented posthumously to John Matthews, former managing partner of Deemer Dana & Froehle.

Real estate firm targets Statesboro
On the heels of findings from an ERA Real Estate/HGTV survey that one in three Americans would consider relocating in the next one to two years, ERA Real Estate has showcased four markets for relocation, one of which is Statesboro.
Local broker-owner Pat Hirsch of ERA Landmark Realty credits low taxes, job opportunities and cultural events at Georgia Southern University among the reasons people are moving to Statesboro.
Bulloch County’s population grew 3.5 percent from 2010 to 2012, according to the U.S. Census.
