New fitness center to open on Abercorn

Pure Barre, a fitness center that focuses on using a ballet barre, has announced a new outlet owned by Brook Nash will open this fall at 5521 Abercorn St., Suite 500, in the Abecorn Station Shopping Center.

The new center will feature workouts that use small isometric movements at the ballet barre with a musical background. Since it began franchising in July 2009, more than 86 Pure Barre locations have opened nationwide.

“The continued growth of Pure Barre locations across the country is a testament to the workout’s ability to quickly transform people’s bodies, and we couldn’t be happier to bring this experience to Savannah,” said Carrie Dorr, founder of Pure Barre.
