Richmond Hill pharmacy has been named 2014 Business of the Year by the Richmond Hill-Bryan County Chamber of Commerce in recognition of 30 years of service to the Richmond Hill Community.

“It is such an honor to be named business of the year, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the continued support of this great community and our incredible staff,” said Al Dixon, pharmacist and co-owner. “As long as we’ve been in businesses, our focus has been the health of our patients and our community.”

The original pharmacy, which was owned by Ben Chapman who is still with the business, was located at Ford’s Village Plaza. Today, it’s located in Towne Center on Highway 17 and includes the Gallery Gift Shop.

“We owe our success to the long lasting relationships we’ve built,” said co-owner Alex Tucker. “We’re thankful for our staff, many of whom have been with us over 10 years.”

Chamber of Commerce executive director Brianne Yontz said the pharmacy has grown and changed with the city but has remained true to its values.

“They treat their customers and employees like family,” Yontz said.

The company also includes Medical Center Pharmacy at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah and Hinesville Pharmacy in Hinesville. For more information go to www.RichmondHillPharmacy.com.
