JENNY MAYO

New job title: Mortgage Loan officer

Company: BB&T Mortgage

Duties: Mayo will help clients with a new home purchase and refinancing existing mortgages. She will be responsible for guiding clients through the mortgage process.

Related work experience: Mayo has over seven years experience in the home mortgage industry.

Education: Mayo is a graduate of Georgia Southern University.

VICTORIA S. WASHINGTON

New job title: Community Mortgage specialist

Company: Branch Banking & Trust

Duties: Washington will help meet the financial needs of the low-to-moderate income individuals and families living within the communities of Savannah through a variety of mortgage loan programs designed around CRA home mortgage lending.

Related work experience: Washington has 20 years of retail banking experience.

Education: Washington holds an A.A.S. degree in accounting.

RICHARD DEBORDE

New job title: Realtor

Company: Cowart Realty, Inc.

Duties: DeBorde will provide accurate and current information to the client on current market trend and assist in the selection of properties for consideration based on a comprehensive interview.

Education: DeBorde attended Benedictine Military School and graduated from the University of Chicago School of Respiratory Care.

New job title: Senior account executive

Company: Integrated Network Solutions, Inc.

Duties: Martin will assist existing and prospective clients with IT and phone system support and requirements.

Related work experience: Martin previously worked as a telecommunications account executive for Windstream.

ANDREW MCCANSE WRIGHT

New job title: Associate professor

Company: Savannah Law School

Duties: Wright will teach required courses in criminal law and criminal procedure, as well as upper-level courses focused on his research interests in separation of powers, criminal theory, and national security law.

Related work experience: For the past two years, Wright has served in the Office of White House Counsel with a focus on Congressional oversight and national security matters. Wright spent six years in private practice as a litigator in Washington, D.C. and in Morgantown, W.V. While in Morgantown, he taught courses in presidential powers and federal criminal law at West Virginia University College of Law.

Education: Wright earned a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University.

Historic Savannah Foundation announces Executive Committee

Historic Savannah Foundation, a preservation organization committed to preserving and protecting Savannah’s heritage through advocacy, education and community involvement, installed a new executive committee and inducted new Board of Trustees members at its 57th Annual Meeting on Nov. 15

Executive officers for 2012-13 include the following:

• Chair — Bill Lovett, president at Hussy Gay Bell & DeYoung

• Vice Chair — Kathy Horne, partner at Inglesby, Falligant, Horne, Courington & Chisholm, P.C.

• Parliamentarian — Hue Thomas III

• Secretary — Sarah Lamar, partner at HunterMaclean

• Treasurer — Danny Mahfet, partner at Karp, Ronning & Tindol, P.C.

New members of Historic Savannah Foundation’s Board of Trustees include:

Appraiser honored

Dustin Lewis, of St. Simons Island, has been awarded the Appraisal Institute’s prestigious MAI membership designation, which is held by appraisers who are experienced in the valuation and evaluation of commercial, industrial, residential and other types of properties, and who advise clients on real estate investment decisions.

Law firm recognized

The law firm of Weiner, Shearouse, Weitz, Greenberg & Shawe, LLP has been recognized by Martindale Hubbel as one of the Top Ranked Law Firms in the United States for having at least one of every three attorneys achieve an AV Preeminent rating. Nationwide, only 2,446 law firms have achieved this ranking inclhdiung 70 in Georgia. The National Top Ranked Law Firms will be featured in the December edition of Fortune magazine, as well as the January, 2013 edition of “Corporate Counsel” and “The American Lawyer.”

Area leader receives business honor

John Patterson, Chairman & CEO of JCB Inc., Savannah, has been elected 2013 CE Chair of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), the North American-based international trade group for companies that manufacture equipment, products and services used worldwide in the agricultural, construction, forestry, mining and utility sectors.
