Assisted living center planned for Pooler

Oaks Senior Living, based in Cumming, and Savannah-based Development Associates Inc. have announced plans to develop an assisted living and Alzheimer’s care community in Pooler.

The five-acre site will break ground in December and is expected to be complete late 2015.

The Oaks at Pooler will be located at 125 Southern Junction Blvd., just off of Interstate 95. The two-story community will have room for nearly 100 seniors and is expected to create more than 65 jobs.

The property will feature 61 assisted living apartments and 29 memory care apartments.

Gas company to invest $9.7 million in Liberty County

Atlanta Gas Light broke ground in Liberty County Thursday on a $9.7 million natural gas pipeline in Midway in the Tradeport East Business Center under its Strategic Infrastructure Development and Enhancement (STRIDE) customer growth program.

“We are pleased to serve the residents of Liberty County by providing a new natural gas service to promote growth and support commerce in their community,” said Bryan Batson, president of Atlanta Gas Light.

A 9.8-mile high-pressure gas line scheduled for completion in early 2015 will serve Tradeport East Business Center, the first of several customer growth expansion projects Atlanta Gas Light plans in Georgia.

Georgia Southern to hold MBA open house

STATESBORO — Georgia Southern University College of Business Administration, Office of Graduate Programs will host a MBA open house from 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Savannah Airport Hilton Garden Inn, 80 Clyde E. Martin Drive.

Individuals interested in advancing their careers with an AACSB-accredited MBA degree are invited to drop by to learn more about the program. Representatives will be available to discuss MBA options and answer questions about the Georgia Southern MBA.

Eye care clinic moves to new Richmond Hill office

The Richmond Hill office of Low Country Eye Care will reopen for business in its newly constructed, free-standing building at 1000 Gandy Dancer in the Station Exchange, moving from its current location in Ford Plaza.

Low Country Eye Care will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m. on Nov. 12. Catered food and drinks and tours of the new building will be provided.

Low Country Eye Care has locations in Richmond Hill, Pooler and Hinesville.
