Juliett Low house to be part of ghost tours
Old Town Trolley Tours of Savannah will add the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace, 10 E. Oglethorpe Ave., to its Ghosts & Gravestones tour when it begins its nightly “Frightseeing” adventure on Oct. 27.
The Frightseeing tours will run nightly from 6:30 or 7 until as late as 11 p.m., depending on volume of reservations.
The firm’s Ghosts & Gravestones tour, which began in 2002, begins on River Street and features a themed “trolley of the doomed,” costumed “gravedigger guides” and a visit to the Perkins & Son’s Ships Chandlery on River Street, as well as the new visit to the Low birthplace.

Counseling service offers sessions without appointments
The Gateway Outpatient Clinic at Savannah Counseling Services, 800 E. 70th St., has begun offering “open access hours.”
Anyone who needs services for mental health or substance abuse issues can simply walk in during the open access hours for their initial assessment without an appointment. Walk-ins will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
Savannah Counseling Services will offer open access hours from 8 a.m. to noon Monday-Friday.

Community breast health awareness seminar offered
Savannah-based SouthCoast Health will host a community breast health awareness seminar in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The free event, held at the practice’s Richmond Hill medical campus at 89 Interchange Drive, will include a discussion on the latest advancements in 3D mammography technology, a service offered by SouthCoast.
Family medicine specialist Dr. Regina Dandy; obstetrician/gynecologist Dr. Neil Odom; and family nurse practitioner Nanci Ahearn will be available to answer questions and provide health and wellness information for women of all ages during the seminar.
Light refreshments will also be served.
