HunterMaclean partner speaks IFCLA in Belgium
Diana McKenzie, a partner at HunterMaclean, spoke at the 2014 International Federation of Computer Law Associations (IFCLA) in Antwerp, Belgium, on June 5, where she was introduced as the “mother of IT law.” McKenzie’s presentation was titled “IT and Contracts: Outsourcing,” and focused on what her group has learned about drafting outsourcing contracts with an emphasis on practical strategies, improving vendor performance, and decreasing unexpected scope creep.
Lasky named ‘Legal Elite’
Jeffrey W. Lasky, the senior litigation partner with Lasky Cooper Law, has been selected for inclusion by Georgia Trend magazine as a “Georgia Trend’s 2013 Legal Elite.” The selection was made after Georgia Trend magazine sent questionnaires to several thousand Georgia lawyers and invited participation by all Georgia lawyers via their website asking them to nominate the attorneys they considered best in 10 different practice categories.

Jones receives NAIFA award
On June 7, at the NAIFA-Georgia annual meeting and convention in Stone Mountain, Maurice Jones, RHU LUTCF, NAIFA-Savannah Association Executive and Treasurer, was presented The George M. Connor-Linda S. Vice Award for 2014. This award has been presented annually since 1966.
