Carroll received her BBA in finance from the University of Georgia and her master’s in accounting from The University of Virginia.

Brooks also served as a financial services officer with BB&T and the marketing and public relations manager for the Florence County Economic Development Partnership.

Education: She has an A.A.S. in business computer programming.

Holmes named front line manager of the year

Tom Holmes was named front line manager of the year at the Georgia Manufacturing Expo in Atlanta on June 13. Holmes has been with DIRTT Savannah as lead production manager since March 2009 and has more than 30 years of local manufacturing experience.

Brannen chairs real property law section

Rob Brannen, a real estate partner at Bouhan Falligant, has been promoted to chairman of the 2600 member Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia. The section consists of Georgia attorneys who focus on real estate related issues and provides services to improve the practice of real estate law.

Armstrong professor accepted to mentoring program

Nandi Marshall, assistant professor of health sciences at Armstrong State University, was recently accepted into the 2014-2015 Health Disparities Cyber-Mentoring Program as a protégé. The program is designed to guide faculty members through a two-year mentoring experience with a national leader in their field in order to help participants establish an independent research career focused on health disparities, with special consideration given to rural health.

Mason named president of Georgia defense lawyers

Kirby Mason, a partner in the Savannah office of Hunter
Maclean, was elected president of the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association at its annual meeting held June 12-15. The group works to further the interests of the civil defense bar.
