Foundation awards grant to Royce Learning Center

Chatham Academy at Royce Learning Center in Savannah will receive a $500 grant from the York Children’s Foundation through Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.

Each time a family buys a casket at Fox & Weeks, part of the cost is donated to the York Children’s Foundation in the name of the deceased and the accumulated funds are distributed quarterly to area nonprofits chosen through an application process.

Fox & Weeks has now distributed more than $2,000 to local nonprofits serving children’s needs since 2012.

MIT Holding Inc. wins ongoing clinical trial contract

Savannah-based MIT Holding Inc. (OTCQB: MITD) has been awarded a contract to coordinate, conduct and administer FDA clinical trials for SERRG Savannah Inc., a multi-specialty research organization.

“Our facility, staff and their attention to detail, patient care and comfort exceeded SERRG investigators expectations during the per-contract awarding process,” said Walter Drakeford, president of MIT Holding. “Our facility and staff was a logical choice for SERRG given the patients concern in a blind clinical trial.”

MIT distributes wholesale pharmaceuticals in the U.S., administers intravenous infusions and, in Georgia, operates ambulatory centers where therapies are administered and sells and rents home medical equipment.

SERRG Inc. is a clinical research organization.
