Rich Electronics announces a KickStarter project
Jason Rich, founder of Rich Electronics, has introduced a KickStarter project called “XplorerBoard,” a modern day electronics kit that features Arduino, a microcontroller that allows users to learn basic computer code to control hardware projects and runs on Windows, Mac OSX and Linux Operating systems.
“My KickStarter goal is to raise enough capital to purchase the manufacturing equipment required to produce the Xplorerboard in Savannah, Georgia,” Rich said.

Nominees sought for ‘working woman’ award
AWWIN, Inc is accepting nominations for the AWWIN Top Ten until Sunday, March 31, to honor outstanding women leaders in Savannah.
Ten women will be selected to receive the AWWIN Top Ten Working Woman Of The Year Award at The Top Ten Gala & Silent Auction at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 9, at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum.

Gulfstream delivers 300th G450 aircraft
Savannah-based Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. recently delivered its 300th Gulfstream G450. The milestone comes nine years after the aircraft entered service in May 2005.
“The delivery of the 300th G450 is a proud moment for Gulfstream because it demonstrates the reliability, performance and comfort the aircraft provides and reflects continuing interest from customers,” said Scott Neal, senior vice president, Worldwide Sales and Marketing, Gulfstream. “This delivery is a testament to the hard work, dedication and innovation of Gulfstream’s workforce. With the G450 and its sister ship, the G550, Gulfstream has dominated the large-cabin business jet market for the past decade.”
The G450 has a range of 4,350 nautical miles/8,056 kilometers at its normal cruise speed of Mach 0.80.
FMCA Habitat for Humanity chapter donates to Habitat Savannah
The FMCA Habitat for Humanity Chapter, a group of RVers who are supported by the Habitat for Humanity International RV Care-A-Vanner Program, are teaming with Habitat Savannah to build a house in Savannah.
Volunteers are taking part in a building blitz that began March 24 and ends April 4. The Family Motor Coach Association has donated $11,000 for what will be the first build by a group under the RV Care-a-Vanners program in Savannah.
The RV Care-A-Vanners and FMCA Habitat support Habitat for Humanity affiliates throughout the United States by coordinating construction volunteers in recreational vehicles with local Habitat building programs.
