Duties: Wright’s responsibilities will include media relations, writing press releases and awards, photography, videography, search engine optimization, researching keywords, social media management and community relations.

Related work experience: Wright is a public relations major and writer for the PRSSA newsletter team.

Education: Wright is a senior at Georgia Southern University and will graduate in May.

 

DON REINHEARDT

New job title: Executive chef

Company: Palmetto Dunes Catering

Duties: Reinheardt oversees all food production within the resort, including menu development, food purchases, recipe development, kitchen and production staff supervision and oversight of food and labor budgets.

Related work experience: He has worked at luxury hotels, resorts and clubs throughout North America and the Caribbean for 20 years and served as an apprentice chef under Chef Waldo Brun at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort.

 

 

LINDSAY THOMPSON

Duties: Thompson will manage sales, promotion, pricing and planning for all catering, banquet and event functions.

Related work experience: Thompson worked for Starwood Hotels at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa and served as catering sales manager for Heritage Golf Group.

Duties: Dickinson will oversee all aspects of the corporation and continue as the company’s director of marketing and human resources.

Related work experience: Since joining Wet Willie’s in 2011, Dickinson launched a company-wide, annual Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser raising over $60,000 over the past three years for Susan G. Komen Coastal Georgia Affiliate. She also implemented motivational programs and expanded the company’s image by partnering with local charities and community groups.

Education: Dickinson graduated from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University in New Orleans with a BSM in Business Management and Consulting.

Kosto receives biofeedback certification

Dianne Kosto has received certification from the BCIA, (Biofeedback Certification International Alliance) after completing the training and mentorship process. Kosto has been practicing BrainCore Therapy neurofeedback since becoming certified in Hilton Head as an Advanced BrainCore Therapy Technician and Trainer in January of 2011. She works with Dr. Guy Annunziata, of Hilton Head Island.

 

Cartee receives Flowers Spirit Award

Derst Baking Company selected Gary Cartee as the recipient of its 2013 Flowers Spirit Award. The award recognizes employees who are a positive force at work and in their community. Cartee, vice president of sales at Derst, was recognized for his positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to his job.

 

Commander promoted

The promotion of Lt. Col. Thomas F. Grabowski to the field rank of colonel has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate. Grabowski has 29 years of military experience.

Park Place Outreach – Youth Emergency Shelter announces that Maj. Kim Middleton and Salita Hill have joined the organization’s board of directors.

Middleton has been employed with the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department since 1987. Hill serves as vice president of community banking at Wells Fargo and has worked in the banking industry in Savannah for more than 29 years.

 

Insurance agents earn certifications

Agents Lynne Hogan and Charles McCoy of Bernard Williams & Company have earned the Management Liability Insurance Specialist (MLIS) certification. The program is designed for retail insurance agents, brokers and risk managers, as well as surplus line brokers and underwriters.

Joining the Savannah Tree Foundation board are Charles W. Belin, Jr.,a retired Armstrong State University professor; Kevin Klinkenberg, a principle with K2 Urban Design; Judd Sneirson, a Savannah Law School associate professor; and Bill Haws. a Georgia Power forestry specialist.

Attorney appointed to mortgage bankers’ board
