Gulfstream Aerospace on Tuesday announced plans to build a product support distribution center in NorthPort Industrial Park near the Interstate 95 and Ga. 21 in Savannah.
The 400,000-square-foot center, which will accommodate more than 300 employees and approximately $900 million in parts and materials, is expected to be completed in early 2015.
Also at Tuesday’s Savannah Economic Development Authority meeting, Gulfstream announced that its new human resources center, a collaborative agreement between the compnay and Georgia Tech to share office and classroom space, will open this month on Technology Circle near Jimmy DeLoach Parkway. That center, which will be home to approximately 180 employees, will include the Gulfstream University training facility and other human resources functions.
