HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Hargray Communications, headquartered in Hilton Head, South Carolina, has opened new professional offices in the Savannah Morning News building in Savannah.

The offices at 1375 Chatham Parkway will support Hargray’s commercial services activities in Savannah, as well as its data center and its managed services business launched recently through its acquisition of Savannah-based iTech.

“We continue to have a great response in Savannah to our fiber-based enterprise communications solutions,” said Andrew Rein, vice president of sales and marketing for Hargray. “Opening this office to house both our commercial services and data center and managed services personnel, enables more collaboration between Hargray personnel working in the Savannah market, and gets us closer to our ever growing number of customers in the area.”

Michael C. Traynor, publisher of the Savannah Morning News and savannahnow.com, said his company is pleased to have Hargray in its Savannah headquarters.

“As we continue to evolve and grow into a multi-platform, advanced digital and print solutions company, we are fortunate to be working with Hargray for our telecom and bandwidth needs,” Traynor said. “Hargray has invested in Savannah by building a state-of-the-art fiber network and our organization is going to benefit as we will be using Hargray’s network for our considerable media and communications needs.”
