“We are proud to have a number of local businesses call the Savannah Mall home,” said Phil McConnell, the mall’s general manager. “The new local businesses that have joined the Savannah Mall family in the last six months offer a variety of goods and services that appeal to both old and new customers.”

Suzanne Williams, owner of Aqua Swim Store, said her customer base has tripled since she moved her retail shop to the mall in May.

“It’s amazing how much the business has grown since we’ve been here,” said Williams

What she considers reasonable rent and high traffic drew her to the mall, she said.

“Where we were before, it was difficult for customers to find us, and here it’s been simple.”

Located on the lower level near Bass Pro Shop, Aqua Swim Store specializes in swimwear for swimmers, lifeguards, swim instructors, swim teams, aquatic therapists, aquatic aerobics classes and others.

Delores Young, owner of The Nutty Bavarian, said her business has done well since opening in mid June and she appreciates the mall management team’s support for local businesses.

This is Young’s second Savannah location. Her Savannah Mall store, located on the lower level in the Burlington Coat Factory wing, features fresh-roasted, cinnamon-glazed nuts made from a special Bavarian recipe in addition to an array of locally and regionally made products.

The four other new businesses that have opened in the Savannah Mall offer a variety of goods and services.

Dear Cupcakes, owned by Leona Gabriel, is located on the lower level in the Dillard’s wing. The shop offers a rotating selection of cupcakes, in addition to vegan, allergy-free and gluten-free varieties. Dear Cupcakes also carries fresh cookies, pretzels, coffee and cold drinks.

Relentless Records, owned by Tim Salley, is located on the lower level in the Burlington Coat Factory wing. The music production and recording studio specializes in recording, sound engineering and artist development in all genres of music.

Pete’s Italian Ice, owned by Jeffery Roberson, is located on the second level in the Food Court and offers several flavors of the sweet frozen dessert.

Vapors Smoke Shop, owned by Chris Daye, is located on the second level near the Food Court. The store sells pipes, tobacco, e-cigs, hookas and more.
