The Coastal Corvette Association, with about 75 members, recently delivered a $4,000 contribution to the Childhood Cancer Family Support Fund at Memorial University Medical Center, pushing the group’s total support past the $20,000 mark.
The group brought eight Corvettes, ranging from vintage to fairly late-model versions, to display between and around the reflecting pools in front of the Hoskins Cancer Center at Memorial.
The support fund aids families facing a health crisis for a son or daughter with gas and living expenses during the child’s treatment, said social worker Donna Hammontree.
