Hospice Savannah held a groundbreaking Monday for its new Center for Living at 6000 Business Center Drive, just off Chatham Parkway.
Work on the center comes after a two-year, $3 million capital campaign conducted by the Hospice Savannah Foundation.
Megan Kerley, the foundation’s vice president, said the center will include four components:
• The Edel Caregiver Institute to provide caregivers with information, training and support.
• Expanded Full Circle bereavement programming.
• Education programming for medical professionals, community volunteers, health care workers and professional caregivers.
• A relocated Steward Center for Palliative Care.
