The grand tasting drew 187 craft brews at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center, and festival-goers sent text votes for their favorite craft brews to determine the People’s Choice Award winners. Official winners were:
• Best of Show: Tybee Blonde by Coastal Empire Beer Co.;
• First Runner-Up: Savannah Brown by Coastal Empire Beer Co.;
• Second Runner-Up: Squared by Orange Blossom Pilsner;
• Third Runner-Up: Bottle Tree Red by Bottle Tree Beer Co.;
• Honorable Mention: Original Sin Cider by Original Sin Hard Cider.
“We have seen hotel occupancy rates go up each year during Labor Day weekend since the inaugural Savannah Craft Brew Fest in 2008,” said Visit Savannah President Joseph Marinelli.
He said Visit Savannah especially appreciates the more than 350 volunteers who gave their time and effort to the festival.
